Went for my boyfriend’s birthday…the food was very good but overpriced. Polenta fries and Atlantic Miso Salmon were delicious! The restaurant itself and view outside are gorgeous. I would definitely recommend checking this gem out!

Form Your Own Opinion. The very low approval rating and the negative reviews on here and on other sites, leads me to conclude that this place isn’t for everyone. However, it was very much perfect for us tonight. From the spectacular wrap-around views of the gorgeous Boston cityscape from the 4th floor, to the flawless and friendly bar staff who mixed a killer Old Fashioned and Dirty Martini (with blue cheese stuffed olives) it was firing on all cylinders during our visit. We started with two generously portioned soups: a roasted red pepper soup and a summer squash soup. Both were lightly seasoned and dressed with toasted walnuts, and were light but rich tasting. Our shared appetizer was the seared scallops with pureed English peas — three oversized sea scallops expertly seared and sweet. My main course was the epitome of spa cuisine: a salmon filet cooked medium-rare on a bed of quinoa and swiss chard. This is gourmet food for the calorie conscious, similar to what one would get at a Canyon Ranch or similar 5-star resort spa. We broke ranks during the dessert course, an inimitable cinnamon creme brulee served with Knob Creek bourbon, richly scented with raw vanilla. Make your reservations late in the evening, towards sunset to get full appreciation of the views.

Do not go here no matter how cool you think it looks on the website. I took my girlfriend here for her birthday. I’m lucky she didn’t break up with me afterwards. The food was just awful. I ordered linguine with shrimp and basically got Chinese food. My girlfriend got vege lasagna and it just did not taste good. The place does have a nice atmosphere and view of the city and has good drinks, but just don’t eat here. You will be disappointed.

Not very impressed. The food is a little sad and the menu a little trite. If I’m being generous, I would say the service was decent. I shared the ceviche, which was fresh but had a boring flaver palette & was rather small. Then I ordered the mixed green salad with chiken added. The salad was fresh and good. But the chicken was terrible. Charred & overbooked to the point of being like beef jerky. And was a tiny portion. If you happen to be nearby With few other options I suppose you wont be terribly disappointed, but don’t go out of your way to try this one.

Sadly Laughable. We had dinner delivered from Blu. The best part about the meal was that it was delivered quickly. The mixed green salad with shrimp added cost us $18, which would have been fine, had it not been 3 shrimp and a salad that was about the size of a small paperback novel. The veggie burger had very little flavor and was topped with wilted lettuce. The best value by far was the hummus. That being said, be prepared to provide your own pita and seasonings, because both were sadly lacking. I will not eat from this restaurant again, and I would suggest that you don’t either.

Highly Recommend!. Blu Restaurant: I’ve been at Blu Restaurant for both lunch and dinner. Delicious food, great staff and exemplary service! The bartenders there make the best drinks (especially the mojitos)! Because it’s located on the 4th floor, people don’t realize the restaurant exists cause it’s hidden, but the environment and decor are beautiful! The restaurant is surrounded by glass windows and the view of boston is AMAZING–especially at night! Candles were the perfect touch for dinner cause it really set for a pleasant atmosphere. Also, the restaurant consists of a casual area and a fine dining area so you really don’t need to worry about if what you’re wearing suits the environment of the restaurant! Blu CafeI haven’t tried everything on the menu yet, but for the foods that I have tried they’re all yummy! Quick service, friendly staff and great food! Good place to go to if you just want an in and out kind of thing. But if you want to sit and eat your food, they have tables as well. All in all, I’ve had many wonderful experiences at Blu. That is why I am sharing it with you all! And I should also add that because it’s located inside the Sports Club LA, all the food from both the restaurant and cafe are made as healthy as possible! 🙂 I HIGHLY recommend this place!
