My first time experiencing chowda. I ordered crab chowda and was intrigued by its appearance. The soup is served in a bread that magically shaped like a bowl!As for the taste, I’d say it was okay. More or less just like the other crab soup out there minus its bowl-shaped-bread.

Really great food! I wish this place was a little fancier than a take out place… Or at least served their food in real dishes and/or with real silverware, but it is what it is. The prices could be better, too, for what you get, but I guess they have to pay the rent!

Why are the portions so tiny.. Got the set meal with clam chowder, lobster roll and oyster? biscuits for about $20. I was pleased with the clam chowder, but slightly disappointed with the lobster roll. It was a bit too oily as the bun was buttered inside and out, the butter was too overwhelming for me. Lobster filling was pretty good, I just wish the serving sizes were bigger. donuteatmyfood.com

Crazy busy place in Faneuil Hall market. It self proclaims itself as the best chowda in town. This place had the longest line compared to the other vendors, so that should be a good indicator of decent fast food. Opted for the medium New England clam chowda for $5.99. Being my first time in Boston, I’ve only had this clam chowder outside of here and it’s always a thicker cream base broth. I liked this one as it’s more of a watery broth. There was a decent amount of clams and potatoes (no bacon in this soup). The medium size was more than enough as it really hits you near the end. Lovely place for a quick meal. Service was incredibly fast.

Great Chowda. Great chowder – good flavor, consistency, and fresh vegetables. Could use a few more clams. Bread bowl was a nice touch. The market could use about twice as many seats and I visited in bad weather.

I love the food here, my favorites are definitely the lobster mac&cheese pie and their clam chowda bread bowl. Best things ever and at a pretty amazing price for how expensive seafood is considered
