This is in Chinatown and quite a busy place. Service was ok but food is pretty goodMust order the Lobster Noodle. They will ask how you want it cook and provide you with options of ways to cook it. We also had sweet and sour beef. Also quite nice.
I’ve dined here four times, twice for lunch and twice for dinner. Lunch proved to be good, but my dinner experience was awful. It wasn’t even busy, but it took 10 to get a waitress to take our order, then 30 minutes to bring out our order (only dim sum!). I also heard the table next to us complaining about how disgusting the eel is. Come for lunch, but avoid after 4PM.
Excellent dim sum, highly recommend and easy on the pocket!
HORRENDOUS!!! – READ. IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT GOING ANYWHERE for a restaurant, READ THE REVIEWS FIRST. 3 stars!?!?! Eek! Methinks not. This should be 0 stars.Big problem 1:For every Asian restaurant, you get a free bowl of rice. They charge $1.25 for a miniscule bowl of rice the size of a tiny ice cream scoop.Big Problem 2:Here is where it goes downhill. This is just my opinion and suspicions about the restaurant. I ordered a seafood crab plate and was very disappointed. So the plate that I ordered had LIVE crab on the menu. You know what? When they were cooking the plate, they didn’t even USE one of the live crabs that they had in their tank!!! We then asked a waitress if they were cooking the dish. The waitress said yes, then we asked them why they hadn’t used a crab in the tank. This is the point where they are BUSTED!!! You know what? We heard her whispering to another waitress and ASKING her WHAT to say to our question. Can you believe it? Then they called all of the waitresses to come and tried to prove the point that the crab they used was live. FAILURE. We asked for actual PROOF. They called the manager and then they said that they had a fish tank downstairs. One lady also said that she could SHOW us how they use a real crab and cook another dish for us. That just leads to more suspicion that they are using dead crabs. The crab dish also tasted like rubber and we were very disappointed.Big Problem 3:Their service was horrendous. Why would they take all of the waitresses AND the manager to solve ONE customer problem? That just gives more suspicions.Big Problem 4:Their food was just awful. We threw away a big share of it.Overall, the restaurant was way below our expectations. In addition, it was WAY overpriced. You could buy lobster dishes at other stores in Chinatown for less than half the price. If you plan on going to this restaurant, think again. There are much better restaurants out there and I will never go there again.
Food choices are numerous and border overwhelming but after settling in on three relatively benign dishes including the Roti Canai which was spicey and delicious we were pleasantly surprised by the flavor and quality of all our choices. Host and wait staff were polite and attentive. Certainly NOT your average Chinese fare. I plan on visiting again. Give it a try!! Thumbs up to Bubor Cha Cha!!
