Really calm coffee place in Congress street. The music in the restrooms is great. Their jugs of water are also pretty good. Really nice place for sitting with your laptop.

Food: Love, love the coffees they serve! I am a fan of their Latte! And the Chocolate cake, And the veggie sandwich! A must try cafe if you are in Boston.Service: Quick service, and courteous staffAmbiance: Situated right in the heart of downtown Boston, this place has a nice warm feeling to it! Plus they have outdoor seating.. and who doesn’t love that? The seating inside the cafe is quite comfortable too. It’s located close to Chinatown and Downtown Crossing metro stations!

I really enjoy Caffe Nero. Based on its busy location, it can be difficult to find a seat ( the JP location is easier for that), but it’s a great place to work if you can find a spot. Great lattes and I think they make the best chai lattes! thebostondaybook.com

More Than Great Coffee. This is one of our favorite haunts in Boston. We go there regularly to linger over a cup of caf Americana or for a quick hit of espresso. The service is always prompt and courteous no matter how busy they are. The ambiance is warm and friendly with inviting soft chairs and plush sofas scattered throughout; all of which is reminiscent of a classic Viennese coffee house. What I like most about Caf Nero though is the bread. This is not to diminish the quality of their many coffees, salads and pastries that are always delicious. But I must confess their bread is my favorite. The baguettes at Caf Nero have a crunchy, robust crust that surrounds a soft, chewy bread center; as good as or better than any baguette we have had anywhere and that includes Europe. For us Caff Nero is a great place for more than just delicious coffee.

A Civilized Coffee Shop. Let me get the bad part out of the way first – the place is crowded, insanely popular, and it is tough to get a table. Okay, now for the good parts. This beautifully designed coffee shop in Downtown Crossing is the first US location of a London chain that aims to do what Starbucks can’t or won’t. Serve drinkable coffee and tea, superb sandwiches and soups, in a cozy atmosphere at reasonable prices. My tea was served in a fine china tea pot, with a matching china cup. My exquisite pumpkin sweetbread was served on a real plate with a real fork. Everything was so ‘British’ and civilized. The sandwiches are pre-made but toasted to order, as they do in Europe.
