When this place opened I was so excited since it was on my way home from work. Their grilled cheese is seriously the best! I’ve been told the soup is great too! It’s great for lunch or dinner when you’re about to get on the train.

Simply put, I am a grilled cheese snob. You cannot get me to try one anywhere else without earning a lengthy and strongly-worded rant about how much I love Cheeseboy. They literally have the art of making a perfect grilled cheese sandwich down to a science. Close your eyes. Imagine a world where there is no sweaty homeless guy asking you for money. No screaming baby at the table next to you. There is a perfectly made grilled cheese sitting before you with your favorite, bread, cheese, and toppings. Now open them. There is a sweaty homeless guy asking you for money. That baby is still screaming. But, there will always be Cheeseboy, even when you are not dreaming in the middle of South Station.

My husband & I wanted a light lunch. We stumbled across Cheeseboy & as grilled cheese lovers, we had to try it. It was very reasonably priced ($13 for two). I was concerned there may not be much cheese & the sandwich would be flat, but it was perfect. I highly recommend it.

Cheeseboy Rocks!. Cheeseboy is the one staple in South Station that has my undivided attention. While waiting for a train on the Kingston Line, I had an opportunity to sample one of their really incredibly unique and hearty sandwiches.Absolutely fabulous! The combination of cheese, tomato and bacon was incredible!Anyone who skips Cheeseboy in favor of McDonalds or any other concession at South Station doesn’t know what they are missing.

Grilled Cheese To Go!. This new sandwich stand in the South Station Concourse serves up fresh made grilled cheese sandwiches with a variety of breads, cheeses, and add-ons like fresh sliced tomatoes, crisp bacon, and so on. A small selection of high quality soups like the classic tomato bisque are also available. Everything is prepared while you watch, and served in a compact folded white sandwich box to take away.I had a grilled cheese with bacon and tomato on rye using cheddar cheese. The bread was perfectly toasted, crisp and buttery and the cheese was the real thing, white cheddar without the unnecessary vulgar roucou coloring. While I loved the sandwich, I personally prefer a bit more cheese, so I’d probably ask for ‘double cheese’ on my next order. I definitely appreciated the fact that they use real cheese and other authentic ingredients.Service was super-quick and friendly, although after you place your order there will obviously be a bit of a wait while your sandwich is prepared and grilled.
