The food is amazing. Sometimes they run out of the popular dishes, but I will give them a pass because they are a food truck after all. They did tell me they were only taking CC for payment a few weeks ago, this was a small issue because it was a day I only brought cash over. But no worries, the food still has be coming back. chaosandwrinkles.com
I love the Clover food trucks. I have Clover every time they are around. Based on the ingredients it’s sometimes hard to imagine how Clover is going to taste good — but then you bite into it and are immediately shocked at the amount of flavor they are able to pack into a vegetarian pocket / plate. For around $7 a wrap I think that Clover is one of the best health food deals in the city.
Mixed Bag. I’m a huge fan of Clover but unfortunately it isn’t consistent. I enjoy their soups when they still have any left. I’ve gone at 12:05 and the soup is already gone. Popular or poor planning?! I’ve tried most of the sandwichs but i like the chickpea the best. I’ve had a chickpea sandwich with 2 small chickpea paddies which leaves a sandwich of bread, carrots, cabbage and the special sauce. A big disappointment. The staff is hit or miss also. Yes, lots of big smiles but disorganized and untrained(bad sandwich). If you order sandwich & fries they don’t come out together(disorganized). You get handed a sandwich unwrapped and then wait another 7 minutes before they call you for fries. I really want Clover to be successful but i may have to join the crowd at Bon Me until they become better at providing their services.
Excellent. I’m an omnivore — I eat and enjoy everything including vegetarian and vegan cuisine. I already knew what to expect from Clover Food Truck, based on prior experience with their place in Cambridge. The vegan BLT was perfect, crunchy, salty, chewy, creamy and still warm in the wrapper after a ten minute walk. The accompanying cous-cous salad was a great side dish that was refreshing and light. What I did not expect was how gosh-darn friendly the curly-haired order taker would be. All smiles and full of information about the food but without proselytizing at all. He took my order and cash, and I had my sandwich and side bagged and ready to go before he had even counted out my change. Very fast and efficient operation.
You’d be hard pressed to get better food at this price in the Financial District. If you like creative vegetarian sandwiches and more, brave the winds and the traffic, and give Clover a chance.
