Busy time, but not a lot of attention from the waitress. Not a very good Chinese black tea. Terrible seafood dumplings. Tastes like they were frozen food and just heated up in a microwave.

I got (C10) Taiwan Style Pan Fried Dumplings which was a very good and sizable appetizer. I also had (D14) Fuzhou Style Rice Noodles which was served with pork/vegetables. After you add some hot sauce this dish was excellent. It doesn’t have any curry in it so it’s like a curry-less Singapore Noodles; I personally prefer the curry version. Service was ok, food very good and priced nicely. Good eats!

First Time Visitor. Stumbled into Dumpling Cafe after the theatre. While I would agree with other reviewers that the servers and the service is subpar – the food makes up for it. Delicious. Don’t expect to ask questions about the menu and get any answers, but everything we ordered was excellent. Number one choice – Eggplant! Will definitely be back and will still expect subpar service – that isn’t going to change!

The WORST. If I could give this restaurant a zero, this definitely merits it. We happened to wander in while looking for bubble tea and saw an ad posted in the window. A waitress pushed us towards a dirty table before we could even ask to look at a menu. When a woman came by to brusquely wipe down our table I tried to ask her what was her favorite dessert. She was very reluctant to answer the question and finally brusquely replied that the taro was the best. A waitress came over and automatically put down bowls for soup and spoons when all we really wanted was dessert. We apologized for the inconvenience multiple times. She glared at us and disdainfully asked if we only wanted dessert twice. We finally ordered our bubble teas – two mango and one watermelon and a taro dessert. The waitress asked if that was all and rolled her eyes.We waited about 30 minutes to receive our orders that should have taken maximum five minutes to make. I even had to flag down our waitress to make sure she didn’t forget about us. She looked annoyed at our inquiry. When our desserts finally came, the bubble teas were completely tasteless and the bubbles were dry and disgusting. I could barely swallow them. Not to mention the consistency on the bubble tea, which was as if they poured a powder in order to make a slushy. I was unable to even drink a quarter of my bubble tea and everyone else seemed obliged to trudge through a horrible drink. The worst had to have been the taro dessert though. It came our smothered in an unappetizing goo surrounding a pile of what seemed like mushed kidney beans. The dessert reeked of the taro and was impossible to get down. One of my friends was really enthusiastic about trying new things but this was way too gross to handle. We left 98% of the food we ordered behind. The waitress didn’t even come by to ask how our we liked our orders. I was so upset with the food and service that I walked right up to the front desk, asked for the check, and signed without any tip added. The waitress even had the nerve to tell us that the tip was not included and asked if we were going to put the tip on the table. I told her I did not plan to tip and simply walked out. My friends, who walked out behind me, were chased down by the waitress. She angrily tried to force one of my friends to leave a tip and my friend honestly told her why she didn’t deserve one. She was rude, rolled her eyes, and suggested the worse possible dessert I could ever imagine.

The seafood lo mien is excellent! Service is swift & portions were plentiful. Warm tea on a rainy day completed the meal!

This place is incredible. Very authentic and extremely flavorful. I can’t wait to go back.
