One of my favorite Boston lunch spots to go with coworkers. Fun atmosphere – you go in under street level. Inside atmosphere continues to be pleasant and not the normal type. Good range of food items from the standard fair to some interesting combinations. It can get pretty busy at times so go early if you want to ensure a seat or table. Staff is knowledgable and helpful when you aren’t sure what to order.
Used to be better , hidden gem! Now the neighborhood has changed and it isn’t as awesome ! The late night menu used to be amazing and you could get a royal with cheese at anytime of day! Nachos seemed amazing and then realized that that the cheese underneath wasn’t even melted!
Other areas in the hood will be crowded or hosting private parties, but Lucky’s will always be opened and accommodating. A hidden gem!
Sinatra Sunday. Lucky’s has long been a favorite of mine – I watched their build-out many years ago back when Fort Point Channel was a ghost town, and now that it is a thriving, hip, neighborhood, Lucky’s continues to serve up comfort food, classic cocktails, smooth jazz, and a friendly atmosphere with wallet-friendly prices. The menu reads like a checklist from the 1950s: meatloaf, New England pot roast, fish & chips, a fabulous pu pu platter, mac & cheese. We started at the bar with a trio of vintage cocktails served up without irony or pretension: a seductive Sazerac, a Jim Beam Old Fashioned, and a dirty Belvedere. Great way to kick off a night of smooth Sinatra in the lounge with friends. All of our food was excellent, although the desserts might need some fine tuning. The one which stood out as superb was the pot-de-creme. Hard to describe but so very, very good.
Awesome everything. Food was great. Music was great and beer was perfect. Would eat here weekly
They only serve double shots. Read the title. ’nuff said.
Peas in Beef Stroganoff?. ABSOLUTELY! Especially when they are plump and tender and served with whole grain pasta. My husband and I enjoyed our first dinner at Lucky’s on Valentine’s Day, and we pleasantly surprised to be greeted warmly, seated promptly, and treated royally. There were plenty of non- seafood choices on the menu (not as common as you’d think in Boston), and we both chose comfort food that was creatively prepared and presented. What looks like a rather dingy hole-in-the-wall is actually a diamond-in-the-rough. Live jazz played throughout our dinner, and the volume was perfect to allow for enjoyable conversation. We’ll be walking there from our apartment in Seaport once the weather gets warmer!
