I’m a huge carnivore and I love steak, but once I tasted Morton’s Chicken Christopher I became hugely conflicted every time I dine at a Morton’s around the world. I’ve been to this location a few times and unfortunately, the Chicken Christopher isn’t quite up to par in Boston, so it makes my decision a bit easier here. Last time I dined here they were advertising a ‘Bacon Steak’ appetizer and I had to try it…delicious! The center-cut filet is very nice, but I prefer Ruth’s Chris over Morton’s when it comes right down to the steak. The only thing keeping my reviews of Morton’s being a 4.5 or above is the onion bread…I can’t stand onions…my issue, not theirs.
I just felt like a steak and happened to be staying across the road from Mortons steakhouse so lucky meWalked in and straight away pleasantly greeted by the lovely lady who exported me to my table so no waiting and I didn’t book.So the menu was extensive and expensive I went with a t- bone rib eye medium rare that was $60 with mash potatoes and broccoli and pepper sauce The potatoes creamy and lump free no one likes lumps Broccoli crunchy and pepper sauce perfectBut the steak all $60 of it , sensational medium rare all the way thru
An mothers day diaster. I went to Mortons at the Seaport for Mothers Day with my family. The service was just ok nothing to write home about. We ordered our food. We wanted an order of onion rings they ran out of them. Our meals arrived however they forgot to put my sons order in.They took his meal off which they should have by the time it arrived we were almost done with our meal. I ordered a filet cooked medium it came well done. I have eaten several times at flemings and never had a problem. The steak was very small we orderedsix ounce filets. The potatoes were just ok nothing to write home about. I would never go back there and I would discourage anyonethat was thinking of going there.
This Be the Place for Meat. My boss took me here about 2 weeks ago. it was absolutely fantastic! I had the New York Strip and it was incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked. And I’m pretty persnickety about my steak. The sides were huge and we share a potatoe, creamed spinach and had the chopped salad as an app. Our waitress was a hoot and even brought us dessert on the house. We had a blast! Highly recommended and ask for Adrienne as your waitress. She was awesome and recommended a fabulous rasberry martini. Yummmo.
For a chain, their steaks taste good!. Even though Morton’s is a chain steakhouse, their steaks are better than some other places I’ve been to, including a few semi-fancy hotel restaurants. Good wine selection and knowledgeable waitstaff. Prices are in the ranges $$$-$$$$. I think it’s normal pricing for this type of restaurant.
Wow. My parents came into town and stayed at The Seaport, so The Princess and I took them out. Came in for an early dinner and was sat in the bar area. Steaks all around with lobster tails added to my mother and I’s. Perfectly cooked veggies, melt in your mouth steaks. No complaints. Typical high End Steak house with great food, drinks, service, and Tab!
To die for Filet Mignon. Fabulous service.
