There are no rolling meadows inside, so maybe the restaurant’s name is a promise on how your night will go if you take your date here. The furnishings certainly have a rustic look, and there’s an open view of the kitchen. Much of the seating is in leather banquettes. There’s a separate bar area. Wood is everywhere (it is 2015, afterall). The whole pies (round) are sort of Neapolitan, but the slices (square) in the takeout line to the left are sort of Sicilian.Arugula salad: Young Bride wanted it without the pancetta, so I didn’t get the full sample, but my one bite was very tasty– the black pepper in the perfect coating of vinaigrette echoed the peppery vegetable. The hard boiled egg looked very soft. This is a winner of a salad that I’d try on my own, keeping the pancetta in, of course.Rigatoni Bolognese: I like that you can get the pastas in half orders to help mix and match. The tubular pasta was al dente. The sauce was light in both color and flavor, lacking the robustness of the better ones I’ve had. Two kinds of cheese. Overall, decent, just not memorable or worthy of another try.Lemon pizza: An interesting size, this pizza. Too big for a personal pizza, too small to share, but just right if sharing and getting a salad. It’s fairly light (bready in a good way), but the liberally applied cheese adds compensatory heft. The jalapeo slices add interesting heat. But the star is the lemon, which may not work for everyone, but I like it a lot. The brightness cuts the heaviness of the cheese and goes really well with the heat. I suppose the real star is the dough itself, which has a nice flavor of its own and really grabs the charcoal from the oven– a ceramic igloo imported from Naples. pigtrip.net

Decent food, slim pickings. Overall the atmosphere is cool as sort of an open air restaurant. We got pizza and a pita like dish made from pizza. All was made fresh, definitely quality ingredients. Issues: glassware smells fishy, server took my drink and never refilled it.
