Shrimp with salt and pepper was excellent, lobster sauce with lobster was tasty and as it has been for many years. Old time, reliable Chinese foodplentiful even if a little pricy. Same quality from 10 -20 Years ago
I called this place last night two times to order food. The first time, I politely asked if they delivered, and I was immediately hung up on. The second time, I called asking why he had hung up on me, as I was interested in ordering food regardless of delivery being available, and was immediately hung up on again. I’ve had their food in the past it wasn’t that great. I’d give them 3 stars if their service wasn’t so awful. I advise you stay away from this restaurant. Their food isn’t that good, and their customer service is pathetic. Why run a service based business without putting people as your priority to gain a good reputation?
Inexpensive late-night eats. We ordered the ginger lobster, black bean mussels, spicy green beans and fried rice. Everything tasted really fresh and the portions were huge! It’s not gourmet chinese food, but it definitely more than satisfied our late-night cravings.
Low quality food, misleading prices, decently fast service. I ate there tonight. Needless to say from the rating I gave it, I was not pleased – there are several reasons for this, specifically:- Inaccurate prices (our order was for a type of shrimp that was listed on the menu outside as 13.95, though the bill stated it as 16.95, which they did not change after I asked, and which they explained was only listed inside on the menus in Chinese and not english letters)- High prices in excess of twice the price on some dishes (compared to other local places, i.e. Great Taste, Hong Kong eatery, Vinh Sun)- Small portions- Meh quality food (I ate the general gau’s chicken, though the chow fun was actually reasonably good)However, they were speedy with their service, which is why I would give two stars instead of one, if they hadn’t lied about their prices. I would not go again, and would recommend others dont either.
Good stuff for cheap. (review dated 2/08):typical cantonese restaurant. cheap eats, good quality, reasonable price. reasonably clean place. worth a try. it’s well hidden in basement level. you just have to look at their canopy and go down the steps. 🙂
Freshest Chinese food I have ever eaten. The chicken lo neon and the scallion pancake are absolutely perfect.
