We had home made roti canai and roti telur for appetizers. We had 3 different types of noodles from the noodles section, one from the fried noodles(2nd one with shrimps and squid), one from the noodles soup section and one from the noodles in sticky sauce section(1st one with pork, squid and shrimps). All items were more or less good. Great food at great price.
Absolute great Malaysian food. Service was good. Food is enough for sharing (Asian standard). The kangkong belachan is highly recommended — the best I’ve ever tasted. I’d come back again.
real bad service + food is suckalso all my friends said the same Hope the inspector shut this place soon !
A bit noisy, but if you’re looking for authentic Malaysian cuisine this is your place. Stick with the noodle dishes if you’re not as adventurous and you’ll be fine. Service is friendly, and can help you navigate the extensive menu.
Goreng Tiram awesome effort best I have EVER tasted outside of Malaysia !!05 Mar, 2015Good effort not as good as my memories but good enough !!05 Mar, 2015Not quite as good as what I recall in Malaysia but good enough , a fine effort !05 Mar, 2015A fine effort was made with a. Number of dishes but a number dishes eg the roti canai do not even come close to the Malaysian Roti Chanai I remember growing up. The Goreng Tiram ( clam omelette ) the memories came flooding back, likewise with the Chicken rice. I thanked our waiter and waitress in Malay – Terima Kasih and they understood , I was impressed with that . Sadly that is pretty much the limit of my command of the Malay language . We will definitely return to Penang’s on Washington St. , Chinatown to dine again. Our meal was worth every cent .
So good!. The place to be in Chinatown. Dumplings are amazing!
Awful. Took 10 minutes for our server to even ask if we wanted drinks. The food was barely edible at best. Everything was bland and desperate for salt. Do not recommend this place I would hope there are better options in Chinatown.
