The filet was so tender it seriously melted in your mouth. The calamari was tender and not chewy with the portion size was huge. The seared flounder with chunks of crab was amazing. We just ordered desert and the portions were big too.

Very nice. We ate here on Oct. 12 and loved every bit of it. Our waiter was courteous and prompt; the manager very kindly moved us from a table by the door (VERY breezy on cold nights) to a table in the back; and the food was fantastic. It is pricey, but well worth it. Nice decoration and ambiance in the restaurant. Nice place to go for a special occasion.
Not a favorite. While our meal here was honestly pretty good and the service was exceptional, I was a bit put off by the price point and these things don’t normally bother me much. The room itself is really beautiful, so I’m guessing you’re paying easily half the cost of your meal just for that. The high points of the meal were the excellent oysters (@ 3.50 apiece) and the creative side dishes like soy-glazed bok choy. I concur with what another reviewer has said, that many of the fish dishes seem overcooked. If you look around a bit, you can get better seafood in Boston at a much lower price, and still have that ‘special occasion ambiance’ that you sometimes want. But $40 for a $12 bottle of Hogue Reisling? Come on…
Great Seafood. The food was great. Our waiter was also very good. It was also very pricy, but worth it. It’s more of a special event restaurant since I can’t typically spend $60 on a meal.
We enjoyed our anniversary dinner at the oceanaire seafood room on court street in boston. the greeting as we entered was friendly and energetic. the wait staff was quick and detailed. our dinners ( we both chose the grilled seafood platter), delicious and delectable. my martini was a little on the lite side but well put together. our only observation is that the entrees are priced just a little above the norm and if the management dropped the prices by $5.00 per entree and a similar percentage per appetizer, etc., the resturant would be filled to overflowing. over all – absolutely great – must try !
