Worst experience of my life. Do you like to be mistreated by members of staff?Do you like to be accused of being a liar?Would you enjoy having your REAL drivers license confiscated at the door?If you have answered yes to any of these questions, than this is the place for you!I visited the Whiskey Priest with a friend of mine. Both of us are from out of state and both of us are in our mid twenties. The door man confiscated my ID and accused me of giving him a fake. I should mention, my REAL ID is identical to my friends REAL ID; hers was not confiscated. After several minutes of arguing with the door man, he begrudgingly returned my ID to me. Thanks goodness, because without it I would be unable to fly home seeing as you can not board a plane without a license. Moral of the story, this place treats people from out of state like crap. Also, the people at the door are rude and unable to tell the difference between a real ID and a fake.
We had a little trouble getting the flirtatious hostesses attention. Once we did, however, we got our food quickly. Very filling, and exactly what we needed.
Never again. I fell for this restaurant because of the location on the water and the amazing views. But after a handful of terrible service experiences I will not be coming back again. The food is mediocre, but the staff make this place a disappointment.
What a let down. The name alone took me there, but I did not even stay for a drink. It was Sunday night. I wanted to watch football, have a drink, and dinner. The music was so loud I couldn’t talk to my coworker. There was no server and the bar was too packed to order food or a drink. And they have 20 TVs, and not one had the game on. They were playing Point Break!
Good Whiskey List and Bad Food. The food is not good. Had the bangers and mash, it was awful. Everyone else in my group was unimpressed with their meals as well. And if you can’t make 5 moderately intoxicated guys like your food… you got some issues. UnimpressedEnjoyed the nice selection of Irish Whiskey
Pray For Better Service. Had a GROUPON for the Whiskey Priest so went for lunch with the wife.Wife got a Turkey Avocado sandwich and I got a Turkey burger. Fries were excellent and wife liked her sandwich. My Turkey burger was flavorless, I wish the could have done something to liven it up.That’s the good part.Service on the other hand was not good.Waitress was nice enough but, I asked if I could have the burger on a roll instead of Rye, you think I asked for papal absolution, but she reluctantly agreed.Food was served very quickly, making me think that maybe the burger was waiting for me.Then waitress disappeared for while and we waited and waited then asked for check – she brought the wrong one, the amount and items were not even close to ours. She ignored the GROUPON coupon the whole time, I had to put it in the folio , apparently she did not want to touch it.No apology was offered and she was gone again for a while.Eventually got the correct bill and paid.Wont be back.
Tasty pub fare at a decent price. Certainly worth it if you’re in the area (but I wouldn’t make a special trip). Service was fine, and there are nice views of the channel. Good music, but so loud as to preclude conversation.. 2 sandwiches + 2 pints = $42 (includes tax & tip).
