Located at fanuil hall, they serve up some of the best lobster rolls and clam chowder in the fanuil hall! The butter lobster roll was just succulent and so damn tasty! A Boston Must Eat. Best deal for lobster rolls at the marketplace period.

Stopped here for a quick lunch today. While the market was busy, we were able to sit at the small bar right away. The lobster rolls were great, and the others around us commented on how good the chowder was. Delish!

I hail from gods country, Nova Scotia, Canada. I have eaten seafood all my life, in particular, shrimp, clams lobster. I have sampled every item on the menu ( Several times) and love every single item. Mark and his staff provide top notch service, coupled with the limited, but very well done menu, make for a super experience. The Walrus and the Carpenter is the reason why I visit Boston yearly.Tell Mark, Pierre and Robin From Nova Scotia sent you.Enjoy.

Love it!. We visit Boston at least once a year and our first stop is at the Walrus & Carpenter. I start with raw oysters and a Sam Adams. My husband gets shrimp and a Sam Adams. Then we both get the clam chowder in a bread bowl and more Sam Adams of course. The staff is always friendly and we love it there. My only complaint is they do not offer t shirts for sale with the logo. We will be there again 6/6/08. Can’t wait!
