A great lunch. We were seeking greek and we found it! The Aegean is a bit fancier than we anticipated, the outside looks like a banquet hall, the inside a white table cloth, dinner restaurant with purposeful ambiance. But alas, the food is what we were here for and the Aegean did not disappoint. The Avonglemono was think and rich but nicely contrasted by the lemon., the rice and chicken cooked perfectly. The salad was also spot on, and while other note there is just one olive and one cherry tomato, the dressing and quality feta make the salad perfect. I almost forgot the bread and pita that came out first with a bowl of dipping oil with feta and spices, a twist that had us overdoing the bread quickly. We both tried combination plates to round out the total experience. The GF’s lunch combo had incredible meatballs in a garlicky tomato sauce, and the lemon potato wedges had us talking about hours later. We both had the very good spanakopita, incredible stuffed grape leaves with lemon sauce. My also include mousaka, something I usually only tolerate, but was wiching there was more, the pastiche was very similar with noodles instead of eggplant and a small piece of incredible loukaniko sausage. Other than the small piece of this that seemed very minimal, yet so good. The meal was great, we had leftovers for a filling dinner that evening. Cannot wait to return, hopefully for dinner!

Fancy!. This is probably the most elegant looking Greek restaurant I’ve ever visited, with polished hardwood floors, black marble accents, and a sprawling cocktail lounge. Fortunately the food matches the decor, at least if you stick with authentic Greek dishes. For dinner, the moussaka was a rich casserole of eggplant and bechemel sauce, accompanied by a surprisingly deep cocktail and wine list. My lunch yesterday was a terrific classic gyro with chunks of marinated lamb, herbs, red onions, and lettuce, rolled tightly in toasted fluffy pita, and accompanied by a Greek lentil soup. Prices are quite moderate and service has always been efficient.

Disapointment. I went in there last night and had the worst restraunt experiance of my life. My waitress completely ignored me and my girlfriend. after our first order she took almost 15 mins to come and tell me that they ran out of the swordfish and after giving me the menu she went and talked to a co worker when i made eye contact with her she continued talking to her co worker for almost 10 mins and then went to 2 other tables before coming and taking my order. At this point i asked her not to hold my girlfriends food and to bring it out when it was ready so it wasent sitting under a heat lamp drying out her steak. Then i asked about a good wine and she knew nothing about their wine selection, when i finally picked out a wine it took another 10 mins for her to bring it over after pouring our glasses she asked for IDs at this point we relized that my 21yr old girlfriend did not have hers and that is fine and i understand no serving the wine but she had already opened the bottle and poured 2 glasses i mean talk about embarrising your guest. at this point i didnt want to drink a whole bottle of wine myself so i sent it back and asked for a beer, after asking for the beer ( the only greek beer that she said they had in stock) it took another 20 mins for her to come and tell me that they were out and i had to pick another beer. after being there for over an hour our salads came out. at this point my girlfriend was so disgruntaled that she went out for a cig and i went right to the manager. after confronting the manager my waitress came to me and denied any responsablity for everything saying that her ignoring me was not her fault or taking her sweet time getting everything to me. so when our food finaly comes out my meal is hot and my girlfriend meal (just as i feared and asked to fix) came out cold and dried out neither one of us ate the whole meal and we were both pretty descusted with the quality of our rather expensive meals and bairly touched them. i can see this restraunt from my driveway and i will never ever go back and i hope that anyone that reads this dosent waste their time and money.
