I had been to their restaurant in Worcester a few times and now that they are open in Framingham we go all the time. The soup is great and very reasonably priced. The sweet and spicy shrimp soup is delicious and order a side of rice noodles to make it perfect. The chicken pho is also very good. Have had a few of the appetizers which are also good. Definitely worth the trip!

Solid Vietnamese in downtown framingham. Pho Dokao is solid, dependable Vietnamese food conveniently located in downtown framingham, which is quickly becomes Metrowest’s foodie paradise. As urban refugees we have been craving good Pho without the drive to Worcester or Alston and so we were thrilled when one of framingham’s least appealing bars closed and was replaced by this modern, clean and friendly restaurant. Owned by the same family that operates Pho Dakao of Worcester, we were glad to have established restuarnteurs open in the slowly transforming downtown. The interior is bright and clean and makes good use of the front windows to bring light into the large dining area. The staff is friendly and happy to answer questions about menu.Any foodie judges a Vietnamese restaurant on its pho and we find Dakao’s fragment and rich in flavor. Bowls are large and we often take home leftovers or order extra to love in our fridge. We cared less for Dakao’s chicken curry which has a sauce to thin and heavy with lime for our palettes, but I was presently surprised by their Mongolian Beef – served sizzling on a cast iron skillet it had the texture of a good fajita plus the delicate flavors of lemongrass and sweet onions and caramelized scallions.
