Wonderful in every way. Four of us had dinner tonight and, as always, a perfect dining experience. Lovely ambiance, fabulous service and the food is incredible. Calamari to die for, salads are delicious. I couldn’t decide between two different red wines to have with our entrees, and the server brought me a sample of each to try before I ordered. I am a tough critic and an excellent cook, so my expectations are always high; Alina’s never lets me down.

Fabulous. Four of us had dinner at Alina’s last night. It was the best dining experience we have had in recent memory – fabulous food, excellent service, lovely atmosphere and a great wine list. The Chef runs a tight ship – everything was cooked to perfection, came out on time, hot and delicious. The fried calamari is unbelievable, prepared perfectly – crispy and moist, served with an exquisite garlicky mayonnaise with a touch of orange citrus. Veal piccata could not have been better, the Caesar salad is excellent and the penne and meatball special elevated a simple dish to new heights (Lord, those meatballs! That marinara!)We could not have asked for more. It was a great experience.

Really Wonderful Experience. Alina’s is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a fine dining experience. Visually, the setting is stunning in it’s simplicity. The dining room is spacious and comfortable with a bar along one wall and tables comfortably arranged around the room. White table linens dominate, softened by candlelight and warm accents, and the walls bear pieces of local art. The effect is relaxing and soothing; much like the dining room of a comfortable, well-appointed home.We were initially seated near the bar but were moved to a different table on our request without any difficulty. Our server was gracious and accommodating. He listed the specials of the evening, and recommended the Tuesday Night Couple’s Special, which includes one bottle of house wine (red or white), two side salads, one appetizer to share, two entrees and a dessert for $75. All food choices may be selected from the regular menu. We decided to choose this option and were not disappointed. Our wine choices for the evening were Piazzo Barbera and a Pinot Grigio, I believe the Companile. We chose the Barbera. It was a decent wine; spicy with a hint of grapefruit toward the finish. For our appetizer we chose the Involitino di Melanzane – thinly sliced baby eggplant rolled around a generous serving of a rich and delicious seasoned and whipped ricotta. A fresh tomato sauce and thinly sliced basil rounded out the dish which was both delicious and beautifully plated. Side salads were served with a choice of balsamic or cranberry citrus vinagrette. I chose the cranberry and my husband the balsamic. Each salad was neatly plated and contained mesclun, grape type tomato, olives, carrot, onion and a thin slice of a cheese I assume was parmigiano. Dressings were lightly applied and complimented rather than overwhelmed the greens. Entrees were salmon prepared according to the special of the evening and served, at my request, on a bed of an exceptional risotto rather than the intended gnocchi. The salmon was very good with excellent flavor; pan seared and lightly blackened with paprika and a hint of cayenne. My husband chose a sirloin steak with a gorgonzola cream sauce. His meat was cooked to precisely the correct temperature and quite flavorful. A dessert of creme brulee rounded out the evening. It was delicious; not excessively sweet, beautifully smooth and creamy and subtle; a perfect ending and compliment to the flavors we had experienced earlier. In all this was an excellent experience and we will return soon!

A Really Nice Experience. The food here is the object. The owner/chef, Martin, opened this restaurant after many years at a restaurant in Hadley. We came here for a b-day dinner and had a great time: The food is creative, nicely presented and wonderful to the taste. The waitstaff are professional, the wait was not long and Martin came out to check on his customers from time to time.He even offerred a dessert for the celebration. On nite that a big event is going on in the bar are, b e careful. We had unfortunately arrived during a get to gather of office staff celebrating 2 birthdays. The noise was so loud that dinner conservation was made impossible. Suggestion…CALL AHEAD.
