Visiting from Texas, my son and I went to Panera for a little familiarity for our lunch. Very disappointed that this service missed the mark. Half my salad was wilted and my Turkey and Cranberry flatbread had 5 pieces of spinach, 1 tablespoon of cranberry and a smudge of what the white sauce was…. And the main meat, the Turkey… A whopping total of 3 pieces… Didn’t even cover my half-flat bread. Now even more homesick for my hometown Panera Bread
Boring chain restaurant from the South. If you like your cookin’ big, bland and southern style, you may be willing to settle for Panera. Sandwiches are corporatized, portion controlled and adequate for computer drones out on short lunchbreaks. Has about as much of a homey touch as a chain motel, though its bright decor simulates a relentlessly cheery airport lounge.
Not bad for a mall chain store. Decent bread, good sandwiches, inviting atmosphere.
