Declining already. I’ve been here several times since they opened as tres gatos and tonight was disappointing. The portions were smaller (chicken confit), the prices were higher(albondigas) and the albondigas recipe was completely different and I didn’t like it!!. There are plenty of good restaurants in Boston- I probably won’t be back!

Promising beginning. We went during the first week they opened. it’s a nice, cozy space. The service was fast (they accommodated us because we had a show to catch) and the food was pretty good. The tapas were not too authentic according to a member of our party who has lived in Spain; however, they were freshly made with good ingredients and they were tasty. My only complaint is that the wine is overpriced but that’s true of most places these days. I’m ordering beer next time.
We just had dinner at Tres Gatos tonight and will definitely go back. We had the ‘chef’s meat and cheese’ plate, the pinchos, and a selection of tapas. Next time, I’d skip the potatoes. Although, the waitress said that the menu will be changing fairly frequently, so they may not be there in the future. The empanadas were especially good. The churros were light and crispy and not greasy. In any case, the service was also very nice. It was busy, but no crushed and everything was taken care of fairly promptly. I look forward to going back and sampling more of the menu.
