Great Burgers. Longhorn has great burgers, but I have been disappointed with their steak. Not a fan of chain restaurants anyway. Tried steak several times, not cooked properly, overcooked and tough.
Customer Service. We dine as a couple at Longhorn about once every two months or so. The food is always good, the service is always good, and as long as we don’t have much of a bar tab, the bill is reasonable. (and they have call-ahead!)But this review is about customer service. My wife’s steak was ordered medium. It came out rare. Hey, it was busy and the cooks were in the typical Friday-night pandemonium in the kitchen. Has anybody worked in a restaurant?So the steak went back, and five or seven minutes later, the manager brings out the re-cooked steak. She apologized profusely as well (Really? There was no need), and then she comped our appetizers(Really? For an undercooked steak? Thanks!)What’s the take-away from this? Do we remember the undercooked steak (which was quickly remedied), or do we remember the comped appetizers? Will we avoid the place because a steak was undercooked, or will be go back more often because they treated us so well?I assure you, we’ll be going back.
