Best Ice Cream. I first tried Kimball’s ice cream when I was stationed at Ft. Devens in 1971. The quality in 1971 was outstanding – just like it is today. there is nothing better than a kimball’s special or one of their banana splits. They may have gone up in price since 1971 but the ice cream is till the best.
Love Kimballs. I grew up with the Kimball kids. We rode the same school bus. When their ice cream stand opened for the season our school bus driver would let the few of us who were still on the bus get ice creams. My parents let us get some one time and we also bought an ice cream for our bus driver. Those were the good old days! – My favorite? Coffee! I’ve loved that flavor forever!
Huge portions good ice cream still like goldstone better bumper boats and mini golf over priced long lines at times
Huge portions, very reasonable prices, and HOMEMADE ice cream are the reasons that Kimbal’s is always packed.
Pretty good ice cream. Huge place is really packed in the summer. I think Bedford Farms and Brighams hand-packed ice cream is better though.
Quantity does not make up for quality
