Great pub food!. My husband and I were in the city for an event, and rather than stay in South Boston for a few drinks, we chose to drive the 20 minutes to Malden for the Dockside. If you’re jonesin’ for pub food, the drive is well worth it. The restaurant and full bar has a lot of things going on, from trivia to KENO to multiple tv screens playing various programs. Our bartender, Denise, was attentive and friendly, despite being very busy, and the food was delicious. The buffalo chicken mac and cheese comes in a portion so big, you’ll expect to take some home or share, and the grilled cheese with avocado and bacon is especially tasty. Free parking is available in a lot next to the building, but you can also walk (~20 minutes) from the Malden Center T stop. The next time we’re in the area, we’ll be back!
Best Sports Bar. Local sports flavor and good food mixes very well at the Dockside restaurant. This restaurant certainly specialized in two cuisines, American and Mexican. As you can tell by the best of list above, Dockside has two of the best Mexican dishes around for a place that is sports themed. If you are not into Mexican food, then their Dockside Combo is certain the please. Notable entrees would be their Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, Fajita Wrap and hamburgers are tops. TVs are spread out showing local sports from the pro teams down and also Keno. The wait staff is very friendly and is a great place to take the kids.
