  I Wasted My Money — Don’t Waste Yours. You’d think once you’re past 60 yrs old you’ve had the worst clam plate you’d ever find. You guessed it; I just did. Old oil, VERY old oil, burnt and discolored clams and fries and crispy but so-so cole slaw. Sorry N E Seafood, but I come from Haverhill and have been coming there off and on for years. I’ve had some pretty-good meals in the past, but just put down $22.98 for a pint of average clam chowder and an absolute crap clam plate and if YOU paid ME, I wouldn’t come back. Everyone, if you’re in the neighborhood, take the drive to rte 133 in Ipswich, go to the Clam Box, and get the best clams the world has to offer. They change their oil around 2pm daily, and only accept credit cards over $25 (no, I’m not affiliated, just a great big fan). I’m going there as soon as possible, just to get this gawd-awful taste out of my mouth. Best wishes.

  Scummy: I quit this place- this is the third time I got bad clam chowder. It is being recycled daily, they just put a bunch of flour in it to make it thick. I just got a mouthful of flour- Disgusting! I am uploading a picture for proof. Stay away.
