Best Meal on the Island. Dinner at The Club Car is just fantastic. Look forward to dining there every summer, and my expectations are always surpassed. The food is elegant and full of interesting flavors and decadence. Foie Gras, Lobster Mac & cheese and Bangkok octopus are all personal favorites. Freshest seafood and off the charts steak and lamb preparation. Aside from the regular menu, there are always tons of amazing specials to choose from each night. Almost another menu altogether in itself. Chef and owner are both very personable and the place has a very old school nantucket vibe. Friendly staff and great bartenders. Dining at the bar is quite fun, especially if you stay for the piano player. Very charming. Can’t wait to go back!

Terrible. As someone who dines out frequently and has tried many of the fantastic options Nantucket has to offer, I can honestly say this is the worst of the best. At club car you will be treated to poor service, worse food, and a pretentious owner who is never to be found when his diners are displeased with his restaurant. Over the several times I’ve dined at the club car Ive found the service to be abysmal, the food to be worse and the best part of the meal to be the over priced wine the restaurant offers. Anyone coming to the island should take this locals advise and stay away from this restaurant. Try le languedoc or galley beach if looking for a fantastic meal!!
