Tasty. My girlfriend and I stumbled upon Destination Soups last week after the restaurant we hoped to dine at closed its doors for good (The old Ginger Grill). The decor in D.S. is quirky yet homey, with knick-knacks and postcards on the walls. The staff is friendly and quickly greeted us as we walked in. I had a cup of the clam chowder and my girlfriend had a cup of the creamy tomato soup. The chowder was certainly homemade and would make anyone who knows fresh new england seafood proud. The creamy tomato soup was smooth and well balanced. We shared and throughly enjoyed the hummus plate as well. The hummus is homemade and is served with fresh hand peeled carrot sticks and a fresh piece ciabatta bread. We were both very impressed with Destination Soups. I love a place that takes pride in its food and serves only fresh home prepared cuisine. New Bedford is full of wonderful restaurants and Destinations Soups simply ads to its list of places to enjoy great food.
Phenomenal and funky. Love this place. The food is authentic and made fresh, and the restaurant is always packed (expect to wait a bit, but it’s totally worth it).The soups, half of which change daily, are really something (especially the peanut chic-pea curry), and their grilled cheese sandwiches are to die for. This place is a favorite for the locals… I literally don’t know anyone who doesn’t love it there.
