Valentines Dinner. My girlfriend JEN loves Assiaggios Restaurant on Prince Street in the North End! I had the haddock dish with the Spinach Rissoto (melted in my mouth)and a glass of red wine (Argentina) and J had the Eggplant Parm…(her fave..they make it special because it’s not on the menu & it’s the best she ever had)also she had a Peroni Beer imported from Italy!Katie was our waitress and she was the best..very sweet and polite..I believe she was from the south shore like us!Being a chef myself I enjoy good food and drinks! Keep up the good work!

Poor Service and a Side of Attitude. I ate here with my family and the food was ok. However, the service was horrible. The waitress gave the wrong dish to my sister and told her that’s what she ordered. She actually offered to return it, which she did. But then she never asked us how the food was or if we needed anything else. She was VERY RUDE. My father asked her why didn’t ask how our food was and she responded that she didn’t want to interrupt us. She lost out on a big tip because she was rude.

Great food, snotty waitress. My girlfriend and I had terrific Chicken Piccata and Carbonara at Assiago on Prince St. Had an excellent bottle of Italian Chardenay for about $30.However, the waitress made the experience unsatisfying. She was rude and abrupt.Would not go back unless I was sure we could have a decent waitress.

Romantic. When I first walked it, I thought the first floor was all their tables. When we were brought downstairs to the basement, I was pleasantly surprised. It was dark and intimate. It was delicious food and our waitress was helpful and funny. It was a great place for a date.

Just got home from a delicious Meal to celebrate my wife’s birthday. She had chicken Parm and loved it. My angel hair with bolognese was fantastic. Best meal I’ve had in the north end, and I certainly recommend that you ask for Katie. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and very nice. Thanks assagio and Katie for making my wife’s birthday special!

Great carbonara. Dined at Assaggio for the first time tonight with two friends and had a nice time. We shared three dishes: pasta carbonara, mushroom risotto, and meat lasagna. The lasagna was good, not remarkable, but the risotto was great and the carbonara was out of this world. Next time I’m not sharing. Good, reasonably-priced wine selection, reasonable prices overall, comfortable decor, and decent service mean I’m putting this on my list of places to return.

Inexpensive and great. Everyone in boston i talk to recommends this place if they’ve eaten here. I saw the bad reviews and I think it might have been some bad luck. Went with italians and they said it was the best gnocchi they’ve ever eaten in the north end. To top it off, very reasonable, even cheap prices!! Definitely give it a try.
