I ordered lobster ravioli, but could not detect any trace of lobster in them. My husband got lobster risotto, which has lots of lobster. When the waiter asked me how I liked my dish, I mentioned the lack of lobster, and he just said that doesn’t much like the ravioli either. When we were seated by the owner of the restaurant, he asked us if we would like some garlic bread. We did not know we were ordering it, but appeared on our bill. Prices for wine were very high, about twice what they were other places.
Great place, been there twice, owner and staff and food are excellent.
What a rip-off! I dined there on Saturday, February 23, 2013, with my wife and 10 young girls for a sweet sixteen party. We were a party of 12 total. The total bill with tip and tax was $524.00. Insane! Stay away.Rich B
This restaurant and its ownership have unethical practices – especially when it comes to the prices. We went as a group and were not offered menus we went with the owners selection. It was WAY OVER PRICED for mediocre food. Our checks came without detail behind them and we were confused about what exactly we were paying for. We have been to many North End restaurants and this is one we will not go back to. It turned a fun night sour. Beware of the pricing and ask for menus so you know what you are buying. Disgusting.
Just had dinner, the owners suggestions were perfection. linguine with eggplant ricotta was exquisite. Chianti was reasonably priced and exceptional. service was personal and very professional. we will be back! Grazi, molto bene!
Tourists Beware, Horrible Experience. We were visiting from philly and looking for a decent italian meal to top off our first day in boston. The food was decent but skimpy. I ordered a $25 shrimp and scallop dish and it came with exactly two shrimp and two scallops. When I asked the waiter about this seeming peculiarity he just shrugged his shoulders. He didn’t attempt to check with the manger or the the kitchen and there was no offer of any complimentary coffee our dessert. When we got the bill not only was there no adjustment, there was a charge for an appetizer we never ordered. this was either the most clueless waiter ever or he was trying to pull a fast one on a family of tourists. Well sorry pal, you just became the first waiter I have refused to tip in over 20 years.
