Not impressed with any of the food. My wife and I were both really surprised by how high the rating is vs the food and service we received once we were actually there. Would not come back here again.
Out of towners, beware.. I wish I could give less than one star. If I could give negative stars I would give it -1000×10^999999999999999999999999999 stars. They do not deserve respect, they do not deserve a tip, and they do not deserve your business. If you are from Boston, then maybe you may like it. They do recognize out of state/town people and they will take advantage of you. My meal did not total to what the menu stated (feeling they tacked on a $50 dum8a$$ charge). The food was something over cooked, dry, and flavorless. I think they overcharged me and yes, after being over served with two bottles of wine I was feeling good. Which they picked up on and took advantage of. Please avoid this place if you are from out of town. They will take advantage of you.
Appalled by HORRIBLE customer service. I am appalled by what happened at this restaurant on Saturday, the 29th of November 2014.Having frequented Florentine Caf many times before, my wife and I entered the restaurant to end the evening with cocktails. We were not welcomed by anyone at the door, and proceeded to the bar. Unable to find a spot, we helped ourselves to an empty table opposite from the bar. There were many open tables and a number of occupied ones, and not being received by a hostess we seated ourselves. Two minutes later a casually dressed waitress came to speak us. She merely said you cannot sit here unless you want to eat something. Noticing her hostile attitude I immediately requested to speak to the manager to request of him to accommodate us. Having been to the restaurant a number of times I thought the manager would be understanding to accommodate us for two cocktails before we leave.To our utter detriment and excruciating shock the manager came to our table and shouted you cant drink here, get out, get out!. It was a caucasian male with dark hair and a beard, dressed in black pants and a black shirt.Never has anything like this happened in my entire life, and at the very least I would like an apology from the waiter for embarrassing me in front of my wife and the other patrons.If the person who came to chase us out of the restaurant is indeed the manager, I would urge the owners to find another one as such a level of inhumane conduct is no place for a restaurant.
Thumbs Down, the parmasean sauce on the pizza tasted like straight from a jar the service was unengaging, indifferent and bland is the best adjective I can use to describe our meals
Terrible! Food is yuk!. I have no idea how this cafe has such a high rating, the food is disgusting! Possibly the worst Italian I have ever eaten. Bad pasta, tasteless sauce, hard yuk meatballs, frozen not fresh seafood that has no flavour. Terrible all round! So disappointing. Who is giving this place good reviews? Have they ever eaten decent Italian? It baffles me that anyone could think this food is good. I’m still trying to erase the experience from my memory.
My wife and I enjoyed an excellent meal. Great food, atmosphere. Nice place to celebrate our 16th anniversary.
