Great lobster roll. Choice of cold (mayo) or hot (,butter). Fish and chips were also reasonable, with sample fries and onion rings. Prices reasonable for this part of Boston.

Mission was to try the lobstah roll in Boston. Went with Pauli’s in the North End as they offer a lobster roll with chips for $15.99. Add $2 if you don’t want mayo and opt for the lobster to be tossed in butter. I went with butter as I prefer that over mayo. You order, pay then wait for your number to be called. It’s a small place – seats for about 15 people. Huge chunks of lobster tossed in butter served on a toasted hot dog bun. You have to eat this quickly as the bread eventually starts breaking down with all the butter and lobster juices. Didn’t think I would eat the chips but it went really well with the lobster roll. Overall a good solid meal at a fair price. The lobster was fresh and cooked just right. I am glad I opted for this place over neptunes next door. Don’t think I really want to pay $30 for what is essentially a sandwich. I would go to neptunes for other dishes instead. Take the T on the orange line to Haymarket. About a 5 min walk from the station to Cross Street and Salem Street; Pauli’s is just a few stores in on the right side.

My husband and I both really enjoyed the Lobstah Roll. It was so tasty and loaded with meat. So good, I went twice. Wish there was a Pauli’s in Toronto!

Delicious, Healthy Options, Fast. I love Pauli’s. When I moved to the North End I went searching for my go-to breakfast omelette spot. I tried out a few different places including Anthony’s & Theo’s Cozy Corner. Anthony’s was a bit sloppy and greasy but I liked the price. Theo’s food was just mediocre and was a bit too pricey. Neither accept debit cards. I then found Pauli’s. It was perfect. Great location, friendly people, robust menu, a big, delicious, neat omelette, good prices, and they accept debit cards! While everyone speaks English, it was also nice to keep my Spanish in check with some of the Spanish speaking staff. It was a match made in Heaven. I quickly became a regular. At first I was just eating omelettes for breakfast, but I soon started eating wraps and salads for my late lunch/dinner. Now, I’ve tried a majority of the sandwiches on the menu, a few salads, most of the breakfast options and the buffalo chicken mac and cheese. My favorites: Steak tips & eggs, sausage, egg & cheese bagel, California wrap, greek steak tip wrap, buffalo chicken wrap, Mamma Lucca, and the Pollo Pazzo. I tried to withstand the temptation, but was too tempted by the cookies. Now I allow myself one per week. These cookies are incredible!!! I can honestly say that I have been more than satisfied, at times even blown away, by the food I’ve eaten. It’s fresh, unique, very tasty, and quickly prepared, yet doesn’t come out sloppy. I also love the vibe of the place. It has a big TV, an eclectic mix of music playing, and the atmosphere is a mix of 1950’s North End nostalgia and funky, modern decor. After only a few visits they knew my name, my standard order, and since then I have made good friends with several of the staff.

Awesome Place!. We were getting on a cruise from boston and decided to come a day early and sightsee.someone recommended a restaurant on salem street so we ended up there.the restaurant was empty and so we decided to skip it.my husband liked the look of Paulis(busy) so we decided to eat there.soo glad we did !!It was the best italian food I have ever eaten in my life! Totally awesome. I had the the California wrap, my husband had the homemade meat balls over ziti and we shared a steak tip salad. The marianted tips are out of this world. I would love to know what is inside the marinade. What a cool place. oh and the triple chocolate chip cookies are to die for.
