LOVE Pellino’s. We ate here a couple of times and loved the restaurant so much that we decided to have our wedding lunch here. The food is delicious — everything is homemade, there is no shortage of garlic, and the staff are friendly and charming. This truly is a mom-and-pop operation, and they could not be nicer people, or easier to work with in planning our big day. They went above and beyond our expectations. I definitely recommend the eggplant napoleon, and all of the homemade pasta dishes. i would also HIGHLY recommend Pellino’s if you need a warm, cozy place for a party of up to 40 people. Everyone in our families raved about the food, wine, etc., and some of them are really picky!

Nice Find. We visited here last night courtesy of a meal voucher from Bloomspot and received a three course dinner for two. The place is tucked away on a side street just off bustling and charming North Square (Paul Revere’s House) so it doesn’t get as much foot traffic as busy Salem or Hanover Streets. We liked the bright and clean dining room — some of the North End restaurants are so dark you need a miner’s helmet to read your menu — but here everything is light and warm. The menu is composed entirely of Italian-American classics like Veal Marsala and Caprese Salad, and everything we got was quite good. A standout was the Eggplant Napoleon, layers of thinly sliced eggplant with rich marinara baked with cheese. I thought prices were a little high, but definitely in line with the rest of the neighborhood.

Very good authentic restaurant, highly recommended. Been here a couple times, for take out and a dinner in. The rack of lamb is excellent, and I’ve had the chicken caccaitore and I thought it was better than most other north end restaurants who make the same dish. Decor is romantic, and they have the exposed brick wall, gives you a feel for the old-world italian restaurants. And the chocolate cake dessert is a must, don’t skip it.
