Was treated to dinner here …wow. Very small restaurant, great winterized patio, great service and unbelievably good food. I had the zucchini blooms to start, wine, and the pic is the lobster raviolli in creamy crab sauce. The fish was flavorful and sung with the sauce..it wasn’t overpowered. I just wish 1. The bread had been served warm and 2. my dish was warmer…it was served in the pan but cooled very quickly.
Good food – Great service. Wanted to show some Australians good Italian in the North End and Trattoria Il Panino did not disappoint. The service was fantastic – knowledgeable and slightly flirtatious – and the food was quite tasty. They let us do a big platter of meatballs as an appetizer along with the Caprese and a few other things. We then enjoyed the ravioli, cuatro carni ragu pasta, veal saltimbocca and ossobuco. They must have a second kitchen nearby because people kept coming in with large pots throughout service – odd, but didn’t detract from our enjoyment and led to some fun banter with the waitress and hostess. Finished the night with some great pastries around the corner. A very enjoyable experience.
Worst mussels I’ve ever had. Sauce tasted like a Trader Joe jar of sauce. Also true for gnocchi. Mushroom ravioli were, however, fabulous. Octopus salad was ho hum. Bread was mediocre at best.
The food here was incredible. Everything cooked absolutely perfect. The service couldn’t have been better and our waitress was super friendly and very kind and attentive with our 10 month old who was having a few moments after a long day. 100% recommend this restaurant!
We had the zucchini flowers to start and they’re SO good. Then I had the mushroom ravioli and my friend had the tortellini. The ravioli were good but I’d get the tortellini next time. The tiramisu was also tasty.
Best Italian food I’ve ever had. And great price compared to its neighbors. I could have eaten just their sauce with some bread all day and been satisfied. Definitely worth checking out.
Worth the wait to get into. My wife had the best ravolli she has ever had and I had one of of the best pieces of veal I’ve ever had. The decor is beautiful. I read a lot of reviews before picking our first North End Italian experience and I feel like I picked wisely.
