Went here on a Friday Night. We were about 15 of us to celebrate a farewell. Worst service ever. Limited menu and of the items we ordered only some of them were appetizing. Others were simply bland and tasteless. Limited to almost no options for vegetarians.Must Try: Maple Chilli Duck Wings, Grilled Hake and Braised Short RibDon’t try anything else, you will be sorry for it.
My boyfriend and I came here when we first started dating and kept planning to return again but unfortunately we never managed to before we left Boston. Mind you, this was a very long time ago, so things could be different now, but I really hope that isn’t the case. It was a nice experience. He and I ordered a few cocktails but our favorite was easily the gimlet, not that the others weren’t delicious, it was just that the gimlet was absolutely perfect for the both of us. The bartender definitely knew what he was doing. Now if you come here hungry you NEED to try the maple chili duck wings. Oh my goodness, these literally blew my mind. I couldn’t stop eating them. They were juicy and moist, totally packed with flavor. My only issue was that it wasn’t a huge plate. We even wound up ordering another round of the wings and we were still craving more. The prices were a bit steep, but the quality of everything easily meets the cost. The only reason Ward 8 isn’t getting a perfect rating from me is that it’s a bit dark. I could barely see, making it a bit difficult if you came here for a date night. Maybe when you come in the middle of the day it’ll be a bit brighter, but my boyfriend and I were there around 11 PM and when I left two hours later I still had no idea what the inside actually looked like.
