  Steak!. We went here for a special occasion, it was a busy weekend. We were seated promptly. It was busy but it didn’t take too long. Steaks were great!! My partner got a ribeye with a veal reduction that was a bit on the salty side. My strip with gorgonzola was perfect. I mean, this is an expensive steakhouse, for sure. But since we were there for our anniversary, it was ok for us to spend on dinner. I thought that the food was great and there was a guitarist playing. Nice place.

  Food is great but actually getting to sit in a seat is quite the ordeal. The hostess is rude, condescending and revels needlessly in control. I’ve been here three times and each was quite a debacle to even get seated REGARDLESS of reservation status. Our server Meghan was AMAZING but the effort it takes to actually get in surely does not make it worth it. I see from other reviews on this site that I’m not alone on this. I appreciate that the space is small; intimate to say the least. That said, management should have come up with a solution by now given the consensous that the customer flow simply is not working. Also, I cannot stress again how rudely I was treated both on the phone and on arrival. Plenty of tables available, confirmed reservation, yet an hour delay. Unacceptable in my book, especially when there are plenty of other places to check out in Noho. My advice: skip the headache and move on.

  More of the Same. I’m a sucker for restaurants that have a good rep. for food quality. Tried again to get a reservation at Caminito. Had a poor experience trying to use their online reservation system – not sure it works. Obviously others have eaten here succesfully and enjoyed it. I’d love to be part of the party but I’m not sure it’s meant to be.27 Sep, 2010Weird experiences. I’ve tried, but never suceeded at eating at Caminito. The first time I went in, the hostess told my wife and I that they had no space to serve us, even though the restaurant was mostly empty. Gave them a pass the first time. Second time, I reserved a table for two on their deck. Arrived only to be told that, yes, they had given us a reservation for outdoor seating but that the table would not be available until an hour after the reservation time. To make it worse, we were told we’d have to wait 30 minutes to sit inside. Maybe it was all incredibly bad luck, but there are a lot of other great restaurants in the valley so they are off my list.

  Mixed opinion, depends on your patience. Put your patience hat on for this one. I had a good meal at Caminito after a long wait in a small multifunction space that appears to serve as a waiting room, coat closet and restroom entryway. The wine was nice, the food very good. In the end this restaurant would do well to move to a larger space with a proper waiting area.

  We tried this restaurant for our last anniversary and loved it! The steaks are grilled over a wood fire and the aroma of the fire is wonderful! It ain’t cheap but it’s great!

  This is the best restaurant in northampton, hands down and I have been to all of them dozens of times….
