Steve herrell, iced cream god. Guru, and all-around good guy. the flavors count over 200, so no matter what your tastes or dietary restrictions are, there is something here for you. and it’s your favorite. so what are you waiting on? good luck deciding what to get… someday we’ll finally walk in there and shout, ‘one of everything!’
This is the best ice cream place in the area. They make everything including hot fudge and sprinkles. If you’re in the area, you must go here for a treat.
The original and still the best. Whenever I’m at Herrell’s I try something new, and I try a big cup of chocolate pudding ice cream. The ice cream is so good, it doesn’t need add-ins.
Best Hot Fudge Sauce!. When people ask why I moved here, they think I’m kidding when I say I came for Herrell’s Hot Fudge Sauce . . . Perfection = Herrell’s sweet cream flavor icecream, hot fudge sauce, and raspberries. Cold Stone came to Northampton, but closed before you could blink. I must not have been the only one who did a taste test, then returned to Herrell’s for REAL ice cream.Smell the hot fudge sauce, savor the hot fudge sauce, then buy a jar to take home. When you read the ingredients, you’ll understand why it’s sooo yummy.

Herrels is a good ice cream shop. The portions are generous (a small scoop will satisfy even the most gluttonus of ice cream lovers) and there are several flavors to choose from, even if they’re not the most original. If you go in the evening, be prepared to wait in a long line. Even still, Herrells will satisfy you ice cream craving.
Interestig. The butterfat…. It is kind of interesting. The butterfat content of this ultra-premium ice cream is so high that it insulates your tongue – making it feel less cold. It also has the effect of making the ice cream almost chewy. IMO, too many of the flavors are chocolate-based for much variety. But, overall a high quality, tasty product, but it may not be what you are expecting on a hot summer’s night. Expensive.
