Lhasa Caf might just be the best bang for your buck meal in Northampton. This Tibetan food caf is filled with kids from the 5 colleges of the pioneer valley and locals too.The menu offers great dishes, which are packed with flavor and a little something to suit everyones palate and wallet. They have good momos and understand the meaning of spicy! They also have a great selection of satisfying soups, noodles and other traditional Tibetan dishes including yak!The service is warm and friendly and the caf is a cute place to hang out at! therestaurantfairy.com
All the food was good except that way too much oil was used on the pan-fried Yak. Ironic since the menu extols the low fat of Yak. If you order it, ask for a less liberal use of oil.
I eat yak!!!!. This was insanely good and exotic. and where else can you have the feminine equivalent of the Dalai Lama take your order? i ordered the brazed yak (yes, yak!!!!) it was amazing. be careful of the bread…… it’s like dough.
Not for everyone, but an amazing find in lesser-known ethnic cuisine. Authentic, great tasting food that’s a beautiful alternative to Indian. Great dcor, great atmosphere, worth a try for something different!
