I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and made to order fare, but I wasn’t blown away as some reviews and the rating of 4.9 suggests. I had the veggie stew which, while loaded with a bit too many different veggies, lacked vibrancy. It needed some fresh herbal notes, perhaps citrus and salt. I’d return again but let’s understand that this is catering to American tastes and may be a shade middle of the road.
Everything good. Truly a terrific member of the northampton dining family. Much like its sister, Amanouz, Mosaic is slightly homier feeling and similar in taste and value. The crepes are enormous, fresh, and filled with flavor. The Tagines – magnifique! I love the brightness of the space and can’t wait to go back for dinner! I’m not a fan of sweetened teas but their Moroccan tea – like that at Amanouz – is a treat

The food here is very good, Moroccan/French fare. The prices are very reasonable for size of portions. Pleasant atmosphere and the Moroccan mint tea is sweet and warm on cold days. Very nice lunch spot well worth the stop.
Must go back…. Been here a few times now, and can’t wait to go back. I love their soups and salad, love the dolmas. I love that I can get a lot of depth and range and flavor out of one plate with so few ingredients. I’ll be back. Again, and again, and again, and….
Fresh, decent mediterranean food, slow kitchen service. I tried Mosaic Cafe a number of times and really like the food. The sandwiches are interesting and tasty. I mean, where in Noho will you get a sardine sandwich that is so fresh and flavorful? Also, the anchovy pizza is boldly delicious. The stews (both veggie and fish) are hearty and sincere. (The paella, though, is not really a paella but more or less a stew, which was disappointing.) It has a BYOB option, which I always appreciate. The only downside is that the kitchen seems to be limited in capacity and the food takes a long time to come out. I wouldn’t go there if I were in a hurry (especially during their busy hours). But if you are not in a hurry and want to linger over the desert crepes, this is a great place. Free wifi service.
North African spice and savor.. Mosaic serves very good mediterranean food combining some of the spiciness of Moroccan cuisine, healthiness of Italian and nuance of French. Marred by sometimes cold, unfriendly staff. Excellent crepes filled with tagine style chicken and vegetables, delicious Tangierian stew. Good sandwiches and vegetarian choices too. Bright, busy room. Good value. Staff are not friendly.
