The jewel of Norhtampton!. I have been eating at this restaurant for years. It has never ever disappointed me. Their wait staff is amazing and even though, the food is not superb, it’s better than any other Thai Restaurants in the pioneer valley. My favorite dish is the four buddies and my boyfriend’s favorite is the seafood elite. Keep in mind though, that if you order lunch the rice comes with it but if you order dinner you have to order rice separately. I’d definitely go try it out if you like the idea of small family owned restaurant. ^^ Also I was reading about the comment down there posted by a Patrick Murphy, I’m just wondering if he’s the Patrick from Gaelic Band that was performing in Noho around the end of March? If he is, he should be ashame of himself. I was gonna go see the concert with my friends, but I realized after I saw him arguing with the waitress that I should probably not support him and go see someone else instead. I was sitting next to the counter so I’ve heard everything he said. First off, he lied about people not apologizing to him. I think the waitress apologized like …. a hundred times? She even said that he doesn’t have to give tips! I mean, really, the place was full. Plus, We got there around the same time as his band and we get the food after his band and it was only about 40 minutes for me. Usually this restaurant is only busy on the weekends and I feel like for a small restaurant, on a night where there were about 90 customers and I guess only about 2-3 cooks, waiting a half an hour’s not bad at all… So I suggest, Patrick Murphy, if you are the one from Gaelic Strom, next time if you want something faster than 30minutes on a busy night, don’t go to a small restaurant, go to McDonald instead, ok? There’s a little something called Fast-Food……
Duck!. Thai food is GREAT! I’ve been to this restaurant several times in the past couple years. The service is great. The waitress is always very helpful in describing what types of food may interest me the most. My favorite is the four buddy, because it contains pork, beef, shrimp, and chicken. It also has cashews that I like. And it’s a little bit spicy, which was ok. And the price for a lunch order was very reasonable. My other two favorites are the Bangkok beef and the Chili Duck… they are both AWESOME! please come and try this food!! and share your experience!! 🙂
Worst service I’ve experienced in a long time. Waited 58 minutes for meal. Cold when arrived. 7 of us together for a meal. All the food came out one dish at a time. Without the rice or just rice on it’s own. Last person on party didn’t even receive his food. When it did come out it was the wrong order. He went off to get pizza. Only thing in their defense was place was pretty busy. But no manager on duty and no one came to the table to apologize.
Excellent wait staff, so-so food. The wait staff were truly outstanding but the food was not the best Thai food. We ordered dishes from mild to HOT. None had much hot spice at all. The prices were a bit high, especially when you factor in the up-charge for a tiny(!) bowl of rice to accompany your dish. The Tom Gar Gai soup wa ok, but I have had better. The flavor Somehow did not seem balanced. Th Pad Thai was the best value and the best tasting, too.
