I have only bean to the Green Bean once. I had the Bi Bim Bean, a take off on the Korean dish Bim Bim Bap. This was not a successful concoction. The veggies were peppers and broccoli (?) presented as a steamed mince, topping brown rice and covered with a sourish sauce tasting of old garlic. The flavor blend was unpleasant and the vegetables just were not cooked in a nice way. They were steamed overcooked, and undifferentiated. It may have been healthy cuisine but one shouldn’t feel punished by the choice. Service was adequate, but minimal.

The Green Bean Caf is an extremely popular breakfast and lunch spot in Northampton. This tiny caf always has a long line to sample its conscious cuisine. The food is pretty good. Some combinations of food work better than other for me. I really loved their green eggs which was basically eggs with kale. It was a deliciously healthy idea and was yummy too. I was not as impressed with the Almond gravy dish, which sounded great but was lacking in flavor. therestaurantfairy.com

Best blt ever. …that just happens to be vegan. made with their housemade marinated tempeh, this sandwich is one you won’t forget or even be able to replace. oh, the torture. we love what the folks at green bean do, using organic and local produce/products when they can, and it’s always consistent.

Great atomsphere, and no feeling of being rushed out. Love the coffee tree mug. People in the community share their own mugs.
