An interesting mix of upscale and down to earth dining. Matched the mood of our group well as we ordered items across the menu. One specialty is wood fired pizzas. My son tried the Mediterranean and was very impressed. My daughter had a burger without any complaints but what stole the show for her were the truffle fries. I ordered one of their fancier entrees, pan-seated cod with mushrooms, gnocchi, cranberries and pured carrots. It was a sight to behold and extraordinary. The only disappointment was my wife’s Thai stir fry which was merely ok. Prices were a bit on the high side but varied by dish.
I am not one to leave reviews, however, after eating a wonderful meal at Rock Harbor Grill, I must say we had a wonderful meal, terrific service and a delightful evening. The owner, has immersed himself and does everything from seating to meal delivery, cleaning tables…. I have not seen an owner of an establishment do all these duties as Chuck has. The staff is very friendly, the atmosphere is delightful, great music, wonderful food and a fun time had by all. Rock Harbor Grill is on our A list and that says a lot, because I am very picky and hate to waste money and time on products and services that are below par. Thank you Chuck and the staff, you can bet that we will be regular customers and look forward to a wonderful 2018. East Orleans
Artived early, because it fills up. Seated immediately drinks came fast. Mixed it up with lobster mac and the dinnet special. The mac is the best I’ve tasted, great lobster and good cheddar. The special was a cod with pumpkin gnoci. Fish was cook perfect but the side could be eaten as a veg entree it was so good. Best thing I haven eaten there. Dessert has to be the sticky toffee pudding. Great food, creative and well executed. Even the lowly side salad wad great with the house dressing. Fresh greens well balanced.
Didn’t really see anything I wanted on the menu. So I ended up getting the mussels and peach panzanella salad with salmon. WOW! I wish I had gotten a real entree. The food was fantastic and we sat at the bar. Two very nice bartenders. I sat right next to the pizza-making lady who was fun to watch. Overall, top notch place.
Absolutely incredible food! Had items off the special menu: Spiked Red Sangria and Pecan Smoked Bacon Wrapped Cod. Portions were big and had to take home leftovers. My new favorite on the Cape!
Great food, great energy! Definitely worth stopping in. Food is hot, fresh and not the usual. Great flavor combinations and daily specials make for a difficult choice of what to order. TIP: Try the Devils on Horseback!
Secret gem in Orleans. The PEI mussels are phenomenal. Sat at the bar and Barman (Paul) knew the menu, our names and was attentive.
