Beautiful restaraunt. Wasn’t aware that they had no dim sum after 3:00. Ordered the three delights. Calamari was so overcooked it was inedible. The shrimp weren’t properly cleaned, and the food had no seasoning.

The Hand is quicker than the Tab.. Been here a few times since they opened last spring. Very clean, spacious and modern. Someone, spent some cash making the place look nice. The servers too, do their best to get your attention. Regardless of age, the mostly female staff like to show some leg. Ya cant help but notice. They remind me of casino dealers but not just because of their appearance. They know how to work it. Yeah, theyre all hustlers, albeit in a small scale way. Note the pot of hot tea that arrives the minute youre seated. What they dont tell you is that the tea isn’t free. I think its only fifty cents, but still. Last time I was there I had them take away the tea and remove it from my bill just for spite. They also try to push certain plates onto the table as if they get bonuses for pushing that specific dish or something. As for the food, well, if youre familiar with Dim Sum, then know this. The selection might not be quite the same as places in China Town but its certainly ample. There are at least three carts rolling around, all different, at any given time. The quality varies from good to a bit over-steamed on some of the dishes. Some of the pasta type dumplings were a bit mushy on the outside. Again, its not China Town but its nice to have a Dim Sum option in Lowell. There are several price ranges on the tab, Im learning to avoid dishes that fall under the TOP category, they can really add up when its time to pay. There was a dumpling with lobster in it, it wasnt worth the extra money, pork and shrimp work fine. The place is pretty busy on weekends and its hit or miss during the week. I like it enough to go back. Plenty of free parking and you dont have to deal with China Town traffic. To summarize; nice place, nice legs, potential for decent food just watch out for their Three Card Monte approach to service.
