A Nice Surprise. Went to Boston recently and, as usual, had a lot of lobster, fish and clams since it is so hard to get good seafood in Florida. We met some friends at Brothers Kouzina for lunch. The food was amazing. I was told that the food was better at lunch than dinner as it is prepared early and sits all day. The portions were huge and the prices reasonable. The Lemon chicken soup was the best I ever had. Wish it was near our home as I would go all the time. Looking forward to our next Boston trip.
I was so excited…at first. Like many folks, I have driven past the restaurants many times and when a friend suggested I try it because they liked the food, I thought, wow, cannot wait to try it. Went on a Sunday eve. I got the Moussaka w/rice pilaf and some type of spicy green beans. The food was barely warm, it tasted bland and not fresh. The Moussaka was generous portion of bland, with sliced potatoes on the bottom and the meal was offered with another starch selection as a side dish, hmmm too much starch? The rice pilaf seemed like sticky, flavorless leftovers, and green beans overcooked and soggy. My sister got the Spanikopita, I sampled it and was just OK, not fresh spinach inside. I have had some delicious Greek food many times before at other restaurants and this is NOT good Greek food, more like cafeteria food. I could not figure why there were so many people in the restaurant. Service was friendly and fast, a clean environment. I had a Restaurant.com dining certificate (for use Mon-Thurs only) but went to Bros Kouzina on a Sunday anyway. I will try and get my dining certificate credited as I do NOT want to use it nor go back to that restaurant again.
A surprise. We have driven by Brothers Kouzina more times than I can recollect. It is housed in an old IHop and from Rte 1 there is nothing that one would call appealing about it. However we decided to stop the other afternoon, hoping for a quick lunch.I must say we were surprised by the pleasant interior, I guess in my mind’s eye I was expecting an old IHop. However I am thrilled to report it is very pleasant once inside BK.We were quickly seated and our waitress was friendly and highly efficient. Our sandwiches and burgers were ready quickly and did not fail. All in all this was a great stop for lunch.
Pretty good. Nice atmosphere, good value. Tzatziki sauce was tasty but a little heavy on the garlic. Greek green bean were tasty but a little cool. Eggplant rollatini were nice. French fries were hot and crisp.
Enjoyable. Have only taken lunch there and have always been happy with what I’ve ordered. The salads are HUGE, the sandwiches are PILED high and the chicken & lemon soup is delish. The staff has been freindly and fast, the food comes out hot and to order. In my book, that’s what you should get when out for lunch.
Great food. Generous portions. Service was quick, responsive, and friendly. Overall an amazing restaurant. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
This Is Not True Greek Food.. I am Greek and have eaten many varies of Greek food. I went to Brother’s Kouzina for the first time last year and had their spinach pie. I love spinach pie and it tastes best when the spinach is nice and fresh. After I ate the spinach pie at this restaurant though, my stomach felt like I needed to throw up. Frozen spinach. Greek food is amazing but this restaurant does not show it unfortunately.
