Don’t bother. I am making an assumtion that you are connected with the Royal Garden in Kingston Ma. If not I am appolizing. However my complaints are with them. Up until a year ago their food was wonderful. Since the new owners have taken over the food is awful. I along with many others I would imagine have complained to no avail. The new owners have ruined what was a gathering place and resturent with great food for many long time patrons to what I am will be if it is not already a t5sturant to avoid
Best Sechuwan. For many years, Royal Garden has sat on Route 1 South in Peabody as one of the better Chinese Sechuwan restaurants in the area. The restaurant was open and clean with a bar section at the end of a short hallway. The hot and sour soup was nicely spiced but lacked any other flavor. Appitizers of steak terriyaki and vegetable tempura could not have been served any better. Their ginger and scallion lo mein lacked both ginger and scallion but the crispy aromatic shrimp came with a think, flavorful sauce. The moshi chicken was also a great dish. The waitstaff was kind but seemed to be in a rush to get us to order even though the restaurant was a quarter full. Plenty of parking is available and the restaurant can accomidate large parties. Certainly one of the best places to go for Chinese cusine on the North Shore.
Without a doubt, the best Chinese food around here-including Boston. Everything is fresh and they will gladly make something to order or even suggest a dish. Don’t be put off by the somewhat blah and outdated decor. This place is a true gem in terms of food and staff.
