There are a few reasons that I give a 5 star rating. The main reason being value. You get a heap of food for an amazingly reasonable price. I’ve had considerably more expensive meals that don’t come close to this quality of food and portion size. The restaurant was extremely busy due its small size but honestly the wait wasn’t long. Service was prompt and the waitress made good recommendations.I can’t think of a single thing I’d change and if you are anywhere near Quincy give it a try.
I love the food here. They have a reasonable beer selection. Unfortunately, the bar area is poorly arranged and as a result, someone will definitely be breathing down your neck while you enjoy some amazing food.
Best Lobstah Mac N Cheese you will ever have in your life!. The bar is always hoppin’ at the Fat Cat. — ask for Matt the main bartender. The Lobstah mac and Cheese will blow your mind. You can order separate entrees or order a split single plate (they add a few bucks onto the total to make up for the lost entree) . But I’d recommend ordering two separate entrees and taking what you don’t finish home for lunch the next day. They have a funky decor (you guessed it , cat themed.) and a great vibe! They are walking distance from Quincy Center MBTA on the RED LINE – or a 2 minute cab ride from Quincy Center Station. Also on the bus lines. (Take the Braintree train (not Ashmont) on the outbound. Definitely the Lobster Mac is the way to go though anything is good. and cooked to order.
Blackened Swordfish , Fried Pickles , Chocolate Peanut-Butter Torte, $8.00 Tito Martini. Was awesome!
Burger delight…. So here’s the thing, I hadn’t had a burger in over three years since coming here. This burger by far was the most scrumptious of them all. The thickness and juiciness alone was everything a girl could ask for. The bun (which I’ve found to be too small at other places) was more than accommodating and proportional to the meat size. The pickles I had them add in were warmed up to perfection and had a freshness to it that made my taste buds scream. As a matter of fact, all of my toppings were fresh and I’d have to rate the Fat Cat Burger a perfect 10. My fries were pretty amazing as well, even after they cooled down. Our waiter was friendly and attentive to our needs. He allowed us to dine in peace while checking in occasionally. I will definitely be returning when I’m back in the area.
The service was a little slow but the food was good and the helpings were huge! I went on a Wednesday night a little after 9 and it was pretty crowded.
