Lousy Take-out. Had my daughter pick up take-out for us and I was so disappointed. We got chicken chow mein and egg foo yung…. I would never go back there again. The sauces were very different than at most chinese restaurants I’ve been too. No flavor what so ever.
Go for the Chinese food, stay for the scorpion bowls. My wife has been bragging about the great chinese food that Mass has compared to anywhere in the country. I have tried Chinese food all over the country and outside of China Towns in places like San Fran, NYC, etc, it all tasted pretty much the same to me. I was convinced that Hong Kong City would fall into the same bucket. I could not have been more wrong. This place is GREAT! I would never have expected to find a place this good in Taunton or really anywhere outside of a China Town in some major city. Now, every time we come up, eating at HKC is a requirement that we both very eagerly look forward to. You will not be disappointed in the food or the drinks. The decor is a little worn and dusty, but I promise you that you will not notice it at all once you try what comes out of the kitchen.The scorpion bowls (for the uninitiated, its a big within a bowl of some mixer and liquor(s) that is in the outer bowl and Bacardi 151 in the much smaller inner bowl which you stir into the outer bowl) are unlike anything I have had before and are delicious. They are very potent, but its not so strong that you make funny faces when you drink it. It is great to share with another person.As for the food, I have yet to have a bad meal here. The twice cooked pork is my personal favorite-its a mixture of pork, shittake mushrooms, peppers, and other assorted vegetables that is basking in a mouth watering thick brown sauce. I never get to finish a plate of it b/c every time, people at my table wind up eating off it b/c it is so good. The crab rangoons are the best I have ever had, bar none. They are wonderful little fried envelopes of heaven with cream cheese and crab thrown in.Go. You will be glad you did.

Although they don’t have combinations for dinner, the family style portions fulfill your appetite. Drinks were so tastty, especialy the scorpion bowls. For others concerns, they only use vegetable oil, no peanut oil. If you have room at the end, they do have desserts

Its decent…. Their food is okay… but i have a feeling they might use peanut oil, because even the fried rice has a peanutty flavor…
Food was decent. Sushi was great. Recommend the Snow Mountain Maki. That being said, $80 for 4 people is a little outrageous. Good food, but not worth the price. Also, rice isn’t included with the dish? Weird.
