Service is always excellent here. I’ve had the pleasure of being served by Eni. She always has a smile on her face and has made my families experience memorable each time.

Schizophrenic steakhouse. The first thing to understand is that at Stoneforge, there are 2 parts:the Publick House is for the elegant fine dining you would get at a place that was a colonial tavern; The Tavern is for casual dining with pub food. Because the sign on the parking lot (next to the Wal-Mart sign) explains the different dining options in fine print, we had no Idea that there were 2 entrances and 2 host stations. We really didn’t expect a classy expensive steakhouse outside walmart to have a sign on the entrance warning about recent parking lot thefts. We arrived there with two of our fiive guests wearing sandals and T-shirts and told them that we didn’t have a reservation. We were made to wait for at least a half hour, yet at no time did the hostess refer us for a shorter waiting time or more casual experience at the Tavern next door. After the 30-40 minute wait, we were seated in a dining room that was two-thirds empty. We were never offered a wine or drink list, even when we were asked for drink orders. Our party had to guess and ask about drinks until we found something. When we saw the short and pricey menu, we realized that there might be another part of the restaurant. the child’s menu did have something other than salad, fish and smoked steak, which we were told would be cooked in a separate kitchen. The menu also included multiple pricing, but not listed as full/half servings or with/without sides or dinner/entree; We were told the pricing was small/large portions. My response was that we were all getting the small portions, which the waitress ignored. The food was cooked perfectly, tasted amazing, and was plated nicely by a great kitchen staff. The waitstaff was attentive and pleasant, but there were only three tables per waiter in the empty room. The actions of the waitstaff and hostess in failing to recommend casual dining to someone in jeans and a t-shirt, the lack of the drink list, and the bill that was triple expected for our visit (double if they hadn’t supersized our cuts), left an unpleasant experience taste at the end. A simple sign at the door or a more attentive hostess (who stared at us for 30 minutes) could have made this a better trip, but they just don’t care.

They can’t shuck an oyster properly to save their soul so they shouldn’t have them on the menu. There manager in the Tavern area couldn’t be more rude or obnoxious. We used to love going there, but the food consistently went down hill. Great atmosphere but the service, food is not worth the trip. Too bad.

Food was great/Service not so much. We went the other day for lunch and sat outside. We knew they were busy but it did take a long time to get greeted and to order drinks. The waiter didn’t bring us a highchair until about 20 minutes after we sat. The food was very good. The waiter did forget my daughters lunch so we had to wait longer for hers. The spinach and artichoke dip is probably the best around. The waiter never checked back to see if everything was ok. Hopefully next time we come in we get better service!

Great place for dinner or drinks. The only problem I have with this place is it is always busy! The food is top notch, the service is good and the atmosphere is relaxing. In the warm months, hanging out by the outdoor fire with friends is very nice. Sounds like the last review was a disgruntled employee, but from a customer perspective this is a great place to go.

Not so great. Stoneforge has good food and service because of their staff only. The owner and all his corporates could care less about them, proof being that they do NOT pay their employees their wages they WORKED for, by leaving their accounts with insufficient funds. I say starve them as they starve us!!!
