Super Duper!!. After reading reviews we were hesitant, as we were on a tight schedule to get back to Boston on a rainy afternoon. Skipping out to Salem for a drive and to visit the Witch Museum. ARE WE GLAD we disregarded the reviews! $10 Boiled Lobster special! Scrumptious, Delicious, and cooked to perfection! Almost ordered a third lobster to split, lol! The Service was quick and courteous, and the place was full of local regulars, and a few fellow tourists.We will be back! Oh yeah, and the draught beer was ice cold and the clam chowder, thick hearty and left me scrapping the sides for the last bits!
Crab cakes were not my favorite. Very mushy. Apparently pizza is delicious.
Phenomenal food and drinks. Great service and atmosphere. Lobster Mac n Cheese is the best I’ve ever had. Religiously come here whenever visiting the Boston area.
I liked it more than I didn’t but the cold lobster roll was bland (may be tradition, I had never had one) and service was slow and unattentive 🙁 My husband’s brisket reuben was good though.
Great place but very slow. Waited almost an hour for a burger and some tots. Chili very spicy but very good.
Lobster shanty workers are unkind and rude. I came with a party of 15 and they made us squeeze into 3 small circular tables. It took 8 minutes to get a coke. The kitchen area is nasty and the food is mediocre. Don’t reccomend. The word shanty really descibes it
LOVE. My husband and I ate the Lobster Roll…fantastic! We ate outside and had wonderful service. We talked to the staff and they even made a few suggestions of places to go in Salem because we were there such a short time.
