Great Place!. This is a must do when in Salem, the food is outstanding and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is friendly. A cool escape in the Summertime and a toasty warm fireside retreat in the Winter. Be sure to try Steve’s Clam Chowder, it’s awesome! One of my favorite places!
The food was very good, and the piano quite pleasant, but at 8 on Friday night, this place was an old age home. It is very odd to me the youngest person in a reataurant at age 50 when you are so far past the earlybirs hour.
Cozy and warm, Nathaniels Offers Much!. As soon as we drive into Salem, we go to Nathaniel’s friendy pub…fantastic lobster quesadillas! No skimping here on lobster!!! Friendly staff, wonderful parties and weddings…great brunch on Sundays at Sophia’s, love the staff there as well.
Great Fall Harvest Menu. I was pleasantly surprised! Most Hotel restaurants do not serve the quality of food that Nathaniel’s does. Superb. Lovely piano music, effecient and friendly servers.The Fall Harvest Menu was a blend of local flavors that warranted return visits which I have done 3 times.Looking forward to the Winter Menu!
Demi-portions are just right. I love the fact that this restaurant serves demi-portions of most of the entrees, so I don’t feel like I have to overeat when eating out. Perfect, especially for us girls. But the husband likes it so he can get two of them and make his own kind of surf and turf.The seating is generous and comfortable,and the layers of table clothes, and overall layout make it a quiet, comfortable, and special place to dine.

Nathaniel’s. Hierloom Tomato Tower was to die for….as a vegetarian,,it was superb..great restaurant..very romantic…
