Came here for a birthday dinner for my sister in law. The location is very clean and did have a reminiscence of Italy even if the lighting was a little low. The wait staff was pleasant and helpful and had a good knowledge of the menu. It’s a one chef operation but given that or order did come out in an acceptable time. I ordered the linguine carbonara. It was made well but came with a little too much sauce for my liking. By the finish I just had a bowl of sauce. My wife had the chicken francese which was very tasty but once again too much sauce. That all being said the after dinner cappuccino was excellent as was the tiramisu. Truly the dessert coarse made up for the minor glitches that are inherent in a one chef operation. We’ll done.
Empty but why?. We came on a Friday at 8. empty restaurant. we were worried but unnecessarily. delicious lovely food each course wonderful. some more tables came in, this pace shoud be packed!!! service excellent, nice setting.
The food was good for a one chef kitchen, that’s its only lacking, one chef trying to be it all. The place is nice and open, quiet and beautiful. The food is good but not remarkable, canned tomatoes adorn, a generous place of bruschetta, canned mushrooms accompany the otherwise good veal Marsala. The pasta sauces are bright and flavorful, and the pasta is cooked well. The wait staff is good and pleasant. The problem is, there appears to be one person in the kitchen handling food prep, and expediting; the chef. This makes for a very slow service, and some not so happy customers. The table next to us, who came in a minute or two after my party actually left for the had not been served, immediately after our table. Impatient maybe, but my fellow diners felt that it was a reasonable call. An eager intern would make a big difference in this establishment.
Best veal around you hear them pound your order out, and it’s the most tender you’ve ever had
