Awesome Philly Steak Mac and Cheese. Everyone’s dressed for Halloween. After all, we are in Salem. Tons of TVs
Best. Buffalo. Chicken. Pizza. Ever.. In October of 2009 I had the pleasure of having lunch here. She had momentarily lost her mind and was on a low carb diet, and ordered a chicken salad. She said it was delicious, but it was a salad. Meh.I, on the other hand, was in heaven. To start I ordered the fried pickles. Every place I had ever been that had fried pickles on the menu just had pickle chips. Tavern had pickle spears. Big, beautiful, crispy, juicy pickle spears. Since my mom was on a diet, I was forced to eat them by myself. For my entree I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Pizza. This was the pizza to end all pizzas. When it came out, the cheese was perfectly melted, golden brown and delicious. It was huge and the flavor was insane. It’s been a year and a half since I had the pleasure of eating there, and I STILL talk about this pizza. All the time. I’ve even dreamt about this pizza. I want to move to Salem so I can have this pizza every day for the rest of my life.Go here. Order this pizza. And send me cookie bouquets as a note of appreciation.
So-so so far. Was okay, the meatloaf was kind of bland and the tator tots were all stuck together in one big piece but otherwise seemed fine. Would go back and try something else as this was the only trip so far.
Meh chicken wings, took forever to come. Good beer selections however
A Little Magic In Salem. OK – so this place could be anywhere, and is probably cloned from its sister restaurantsThe good stuff, a wicked goof selection of beers – wife got one she wanted to try but did not like, I got Harpoon on Tap and it was reliably tasty – wife switched to a different brew.I got a turkey burger, its hard to make turkey exciting but it was flavorful.Wife got a salad and loved it, kids all liked their food.Waitress was nice, fun and attentive.Price was $139 for 2 adults and 3 kids, so a little pricey for 5. The bad, the place is super bland looking on the inside, it looks like all the pictures of their other restaurants, you are in Salem, live it up a little with local flavor! Don’ get me wrong, everything was clean, modern and plenty of room.We got there early on a Friday night – it was dead in the dining room, yet we waited a while for a table to be set , and get this the place is huge and empty they put us at the far end of the dining room, as it turns out everyone with kids ended up down there – I guess they don’t want to harsh the vibe for couples without kids.Bottom line we will be back for the good food and drink!
Good for exactly what it is.
This new sports bar and restaurant has a huge menu, 38 different beers and a very lively atmosphere. Not to mention 38 flat panel TVs. It’s crowded, but fun. Food is not bad. Give them a couple of weeks to get the bugs out, and you’ve got a winner. Place came to my attention via a cool web site: SalemFocus.com.
